News

Americans today all watch the news in some way. Well I have this idea. I am going to create a news business that allows the viewer to choose what they actually want to watch and be informed about. Today's media suffers from gatekeepers and agenda setting. These people report on what they THINK consumers want to hear and read about. They are in fact setting an agenda for what information we consume. Instead of being maniupulated by a media company, consumers will be able to have input in the information that is relayed to the rest of the consumer base.

  1. I think this would be a cool idea, but it would definitely complicated. I think an easier way to abolish this media censorship would be to get rid of opinion segments. While the press is free under the Constitution, they were originally made free with the assumption that they would report the truth and nothing else. Opinions, while needed and valued, should be shared in separate segments and not during the general news hours.

  2. Ryan, let me know when you need hlp with this business. I'll help out. In europe the news is way more fact based and on an internation scale. It is kind of funny to think that Americans think we are way ahead of the rest of the world, when really things as simple as media is way behind.
